A discovery programme that will bring break-through sensor technology in terms of wearables and other sensors to solve a variety of challenges in the delivery of care. This will provide staff, patients and families seamless and equitable access to care by exploiting the most advanced sensor technology.
Needle Smart
We are working in partnership with Needlesmart, who developed an innovative solution that uses unique and patented technology to take a used and contaminated hypodermic needle immediately after use and in just 6 seconds, heats the needle to in excess of 1300C, compresses and reforming it into a safe “ball” of metal at the end of the syringe.
We have been assessing the viability of NeedleSmart initially during our first Covid-19 vaccination program and are excited to work together in collaboration to further develop the data agnostic software platform CWS and DVS (Clinical Workflow System / Digital Vaccination System).
Hy-Genie
Innovative Hand Hygiene Support. An active monitoring system that allows hospitals to detect usage of hand hygiene stations, helping to reduce healthcare-associated infections (HCAIs), improving patient safety.
CLIK
Clik is a gamified portable hearing tests. A world where hearing loss does not mean isolation. We develop games aimed at different cognitive abilities, games that actually engage the user, delivering technology for those that find standard hearing tests difficult to complete. Our intelligent and portable design means that anyone can be tested anytime, anywhere.
Asthma Wearables
A wearable technology that will encourage children to understand and no longer fear their asthma. We are working to collaborate/partner with a company to create a wearable that can:
- Detect and record physiological and environmental data together personalised to the patient.
- Predict – AI technology that can collect data and provide smart analytics.
- Inform – Engaging platform/app to send reminders, warnings, note taking & links to clinician database.
Remote Cardiology / Remote Monitoring
Dashboard project – An RPM device which can measure height and weight, and blood oxygen.
Remote Cardiology more broadly – how clinicians can continuously monitor cardiac patients and measure key biomarkers.
Wearable Biosensors can gather key biometric data eg heart rate, ECG Respiration rate, etc.
LOOP (Liverpool Overweight and Obesity Programme)
App / platform which consolidates weight management services with Remote Monitoring and Telehealth.
Data capture (eg tracking calories), Goals Setting, Mood Monitoring (eg quality of life surveying).
Notifications (eg fitness class o’clock), Uploading of Video content and other content (from clinicians).
